INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the newest addition to our website!  A few weeks ago, I asked my son, Zack, about starting a blog.  I wanted a way to interact with you on a daily basis, sharing with you my thoughts as I work my way toward Sunday each week.  Most of you know that I do a tremendous amount of reading, and I often find something that I wish I could share with you immediately.  This blog will give me the opportunity to do that.

My usual practice will be to share a quote with you, make a comment or two on it, and invite you to do the same.  Reading is always best done in the context of a community, sharing our insights with each other, especially with regard to the Scriptures.  Your comments will help me in my sermon preparation!

Some of my reading is devotional, some for general education, some for help in preparing the sermon, and some just for fun.  So there will be a variety of topics, and I look forward to your input.  Check in every day…I’ll do my best to have something here for you that will inspire, energize, and stretch you.  And I expect you to do the same for me.  Blessings…Steve  (And thanks, Zack, for making this work!  I’m proud of you!)
