Now the second thing: You don’t need to repeat yourself. In Jesus’ sermon he said:
And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do, for they suppose they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask [...]
Jesus made three strong statements about prayer in the Sermon on the Mount, and every one of them were negative. The first one was this: Don’t be hypocritical. Listen to these words from Matt. 6:
