Rev. Stephen H. Kirby
Pastor
Stephen H. Kirby has been the pastor of UGUMC since July of 1992. Steve is a native of Newton, NC, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Gardner-Webb University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University. Currently, Steve also directs the adult choir.
He is married to the former Judy R. Bost of Newton, and they have four children: Miki, Zack, Stephanie, and Rebekah.
Jeanne Gaither
Church Secretary
Jeanne Gaither grew up in Union Grove and returned to the area after marrying her husband Mark. They now live in Olin with their two children, Trent and Kiley. She is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College and has been a member of Union Grove UMC since 1998.
Sandi Thomasson
Parish Nurse
Sandi Thomasson graduated with a diploma in Nursing from Forsyth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. She has practiced as a registered nurse in North Carolina for twenty-nine years. Most of her career has been in the field of coronary/intensive care and the emergency room. Sandi also has experience in the oncology, pediatrics, dialysis, public health and industrial fields of Nursing.
